The Killers – Uncle Johnny

To put it frankly, this song is my favorite on an album that I had to listen to a million times before it impressed me. I’ll be the first to admit that this song takes a certain endurance for the repetative, albeit awesome, guitar lines and a tolerance for the vocals (if Flower’s voice is not to your taste), but neverthe less, I would be this song as good listen a thousand times over (or at least as many times as that guitar line repeats).

 I just read that The Killer’s site Oasis,The Smashing Pumpkins, and, supposedly, Duran Duran as big influences. Sound like anyone else you know? I guess we have to like them now.
